Celebrating 100 years of
Excellence!
The mission of the St Clair County High School is to enrich and teach each
student to become all he or she is capable of being. That is to achieve
maximum potential mentally, morally, socially, and physically, so each can
compete effectively in today's global society.
VISION:
MISSION:
St. Clair County High School aims to provide students with the best
education possible and available. We envision doing this through providing a
curriculum that will ready our students for college and/or the work force
and help them become well rounded lifetime learners. We want to see our
students respect themselves and others, grow in character and self-esteem,
and practice the fundamental concepts of the American democracy. We want to
see our students develop a love for learning and be motivated by teachers
and the community to invest in their own future.
BELIEFS:
· Students' positive learning experiences are the chief priority at St.
Clair County High School.
· All students should be guided towards achievement at increasingly higher
levels of difficulty.
· Exceptional students require special services.
· Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social,
emotional, and intellectual talents and needs.
· Students must attend school regularly and be prepared in order to be
successful.
· Students learn best when they have appropriate opportunities for success.
· Student esteem and conduct are conducive to positive relationships and
mutual respect for themselves, other students, faculty, staff, parents, and
community.
· Teachers, staff, and administrators rigorously pursue improvement in their
fields, and consistently develop skill through workshops and educational
opportunities in order to stay abreast of new technologies, new teaching
ideas, and information in an ever-changing global community.
· Teachers, parents, staff, administrators, and the whole community must all
share in the responsibility for over-seeing our mission.
· Students, teachers, and staff accomplishments should be recognized and
celebrated.
